Job Title: Zonal Head – Returnable Packaging Solutions
Location: Pune, Delhi & Chennai
Reporting To: Business Head / Plant Head
Industry: Returnable Packaging / Supply Chain / SCM Job Purpose The Zonal Head is responsible for end-to-end ownership of multiple locations within a defined area, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, asset utilization & cost control in returnable packaging solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple customer plants within the defined area Ensure smooth circulation and rotation of returnable assets (pallets, bins, boxes & dunnage) Monitor cycle time adherence, stock accuracy, and damage control Drive continuous improvement in operation, handling, and logistics efficiency 2. Asset Management Ensure 100% traceability and accountability of returnable assets Control asset losses, misuse, and non-standard uses at customer locations Plan asset addition, refurbishment, rework, and replacement as per defined cycle days Lead physical stock audits and reconciliation with customers 3. Customer Relationship Management Act as single point of contact for key customers within the definied area Handle escalations related to shortages, damages, line stoppages, or quality issues Ensure compliance of agreed SOP's & orgnisation expectations 4. Commercial & Financial Control Manage area-level P&L, cost optimization, and budgeting Ensure timely billing, collections, and commercial closure Control logistics, manpower, and rework costs 5. Team & Manpower Management Lead and develop branch Managers, Supervisors, and Field Teams Ensure required manpower deployment across locations Drive performance through targets, reviews, and training Enforce safety, discipline, and compliance of deployed manpower across locations6. Process, Quality & Compliance Implement standardized operating procedures across the definied area Ensure compliance with customer packing standards, safety norms, and audit requirements Support new product / new packing development and trials Drive digitization, tracking systems, and MIS reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Asset rotation & utilization Asset loss & damage percentage Customer satisfaction score On-time delivery & line stoppage i incidents Billing & collection timelines Desired Candidate Profile Education BE / B.Tech / Diploma (Mechanical / Production / Industrial preferred) Experience Minimum 4–6 years in a leadership role managing multiple locations & in returnable packaging, SCM, or logistics Strong exposure to automotive OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers Skills & Competencies Strong operational and commercial acumen Deep understanding of returnable packaging systems & asset lifecycle Excellent customer handling and negotiation skillLeadership, problem-solving, and escalation handling Preferred Exposure Returnable pallets, bins, assets, and custom dunnage Automotive programs with high volume and tight cycle times SAP / ERP / asset tracking systems Multi-location / area operation.
