Job Title:Senior Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure (Experienced from CPWD Projects Holder Preferable)

Location: Across India / Project Sites

Job Type: Full-time / Contract

Reporting To: Head of Projects / Director – PMO

Role SummaryWe are seeking highly experienced Senior Project Managers with 25+ years of proven track record in planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale civil and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in government projects, including public works, transportation, urban infrastructure, utilities, and buildings, with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project controls skills.

Candidates should have experience managing projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget, schedule, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead planning, design coordination, tendering, contract negotiation and execution phases of major civil works.
  • Drive project delivery in line with scope, milestones, budget and governance standards.
  • Ensure seamless coordination among consultants, contractors, engineers and stakeholders.

2. Government & Public Sector Interface

  • Engage with government agencies, local authorities, regulators, and public sector clients.
  • Prepare compliance documentation, approvals, clearances, and statutory reporting as required.
  • Navigate public procurement, tender processes, and audit frameworks.

3. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems on site.
  • Promote safe construction practices and compliance with HSE standards.
  • Monitor environmental and legal compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Financial & Contract Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, risk registers, and change control.
  • Review and manage contract documents, variations, claims, and payments.
  • Drive financial discipline to achieve cost optimization and performance targets.

5. Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Build, coach, and lead multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, planners, contract managers, QA/QC and field teams.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, succession planning and professional skills development.

6. Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc progress reports for stakeholders, boards, and funding agencies.
  • Lead project reviews, risk assessments, audits and project closure documentation.
  • Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master’s / MBA / PMP / PRINCE2 / PMI certification preferred.
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in civil project management, with significant experience in government / public sector infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, airports, rail, utilities, urban development).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million dollar projects with public accountability.
  • Essential Skills & AttributesStrong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in project controls: planning (Primavera/MS Project), budgeting, risk management, quality and safety systems.
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to engage senior government officials, contractors and clients.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering standards, building codes and public procurement regulations.
  • Strategic thinker with proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Desirable ExperienceExperience with International / Multilateral funded projects (ADB, World Bank, JICA etc.).
  • Demonstrated success with mega infrastructure and urban development programs.
  • Exposure to digital project management tools and BIM/ERP systems.
